HI! DO YOU HAVE TIME FOR...
... AN INFRAREADING? YES!!!
AW...! THANK YOU SO MUCH. SO... YOU PROBABLY ALREADY HEARD ABOUT THE POEM THAT OPENS THE... THE MOST COMPLETE ANALYSIS OF THESE TWO TERMS BELONGS TO ANTÓNIO SÉRGIO MENDONÇA AND ÁLVARO DE SÁ.
THE TWO INCLUDED IT IN POESIA DE VANGUARDA NO BRASIL, A VERY IMPORTANT BOOK TO THINK ABOUT BRAZILIAN POETRY OF THE 20th CENTURY. AMOR (LOVE) IS DESCRIBED BY MENDONÇA AND SÁ AS A PRE-CONCRETE POEM FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON. WHEN YOU PUT TOGETHER BOTH TERMS, AMOR AND RUMOR, YOU GET A THIRD ONE... RUMOR! ... BECAUSE THE H FALLS. RUMOR Class in comics. 2025 DRAWINGS, VIDEO & SOUND Patrícia Lino RUMOR names a class in comics made to widely share Patrícia Lino's infrareading of "Amor", a well-known poem published by Oswald de Andrade in 1927. The poem is part of the equally known Brazilian book titled Primeiro Caderno do Alumno de Poesia. Similarly to every poem in the volume, "Amor" is composed by (the expected) text and a (more unexpected and also childish) drawing. Not surprisingly, critics have ignored the enigmatic drawing that habitates the page and how it obviously influences the text's form and amplifies the text's meaning.
Among other things, RUMOR asks, how can we solve this?, and answers by looking at the silent and silenced drawing and including Marcel Duchamp's readymades in the conversation. The questions and conclusion introduced by RUMOR were previously published as part of the essay IMPERATIVA ENSAÍSTICA DIABÓLICA. INFRALEITURAS DA POESIA BRASILEIRA EXPANDIDA (Brazil, 2024). RUMOR transforms, therefore, the density of the original text orally and visually. |
A CONCEPT THAT I DEVELOP IN THIS BOOK HERE...
... AND THAT IN A NUTSHELL PROPOSES A NEW WAY OF READING AND ANALYZING THE POEM. DOES THIS SOUND INTERESTING TO YOU...? CAN I...? POETRY STUDENT'S FIRST NOTEBOOK
... THAT WAS PUBLISHED IN 1927, IN BRAZIL, BY... ... OSWALD DE ANDRADE THAT HERE, BESIDES WRITING, ALSO DRAWS. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE COVER. THE COVER WAS, OF COURSE, MADE BY TARSILA DO AMARAL. THE POEM IS CALLED AMOR (LOVE) AND IS COMPOSED BY ITS TITLE AND A VERSE. AMOR HUMOR AS MENDONÇA AND SÁ REMIND US, THE R SOUND WAS PRACTICALLY REJECTED BY ROMANTIC POETS...
... BECAUSE IT WOULD BREAK THE IDEALIZED CEREMONIALITY OF LOVE POEMS... |
